that is a myth. your body becomes dehydrated and other stuff bla bla and it can appear that fingernails and hair grow after a person is deceased. but really it doesnt even make sense. how would it grow if you are dead? there is no blood flow. nothing going on in the brain. which controls the body.

people used to use the river to dispose of dead bodies and they think the catfish have actually taken to human flesh. they prefer it over other prey and will seek it out. people just dissapear in the river. you can google it and find pictures of the catfish. they have adapted incredibly well and are freakin huge now!!!
