Hello everyone,

We are thinking of having a competition, designing a character for Attak and the best ones could make it into the next game.

What you would need to do:

- Draw your character
- Name them
- Special move(s)
- A bit of history

Post them here once youre done.

This is my joke one to get things going. Don't judge me, it took 2 minutes (literally).

Oh God, I'm terrible at drawing. Considering that took you 2 minutes Max, it's frankly amazing compared to me. It takes me 10 minutes to produce a small, pathetic scrawling that a primary school art teacher (with a broken arm) would be ashamed of. Nevertheless - I shall have a go, but don't expect me to come up with anything decent, or anything at all for that matter.

Dr. Calamitous (i need help with names)

Special Powers: Shocks foes with electric shocks from huge brain.

History: Born to a rocket scientist and brain surgeon. Was very smart, but always teased because of big head. Created Iceman by mistake.

SORRY ABOUT THE NOSE.
It really is shameful. If only I did it in pencil I could have rubbed it out ):
I apologise if you can't read my handwriting. Also, the bottom line was cut off by the scanner. It reads: "He gradually lost his mind and envisioned himself as a pirate. It was only then that he started using his arm for more evil purposes..."
I know it's crap, please don't go on about it though xD

Hey Dom its cool, i definitely like the idea of the steam punk style - the pneumatic punch - the self modifying semi robotic pirate guy, something we havent explored yet.

The story behind it is a good idea too, do you think we should do more of this sort of thing in the next Attak? Giving things story and background

I think Attak 2 should definitely be more archaic and maybe the whole steam-punk idea makes sense for the feeling of the game.

It could be the self-upgraded steam punks against the naturally powerful humans.

Superhumans Vs. Steam-punks (set in the 1950's)

Is their a comic about this?

Hmm... I think story in games is a matter of personal taste.
Too much reading would bore people, however a separate character-bio option might work. If you're thinking of having campaign-style fights, you could have short stills for cutscenes inbetween, explaining the events that link the fights. 1950's is cool - very Bioshock/Fallout 3 - esque. The idea that some fighters have gained their skills naturally, and others through self-modification sounds rather cool, perhaps a whole brains vs. brawn type thing.
Like you said, Max, there may be a comic or something like this. It all sounds strangely familiar to me.
Other than that, so far the idea is sounding great. I'm glad to have contributed.

I think that a little description or history would be cool to see while selceting a character. Half cyborg half man would also be cool.
What does steam-punk mean? What is a pneumatic punch?

Pneumatic things are powered by water pressure, e.g. a pneumatic drill.
