• I have read that Fox have "confirmed" that it's an Apple tablet, new iLife and iPhone OS 4.0 to be announced on January 27th.
  
  My theory for the iSlate is that it will be a hybrid between desktop (touch iLife) and an iPhone (access to the app store) with a full tactile keyboard built into the screen.
  
  I have read on Engadget that a 22" touchscreen iMac is being released as well, but who knows if it will have the same software or if it's even part of the January 27th launch.
  
  I hope, based on those splatters in the invite graphic that the iSlate has pressure sensitive touch so you can, almost like a tablet, draw on the surface and create thinner and thicker lines/sprays/splats. I'd like to see that for the sake of drawing digitally. meridimus — 1 Month ago

• My main issue is power vs. price. I love a ton of power in my computer, but the prices of a Mac vs. a PC favor the PC.
  
  I dont mine a desktop, but I'll most likely have a laptop as my next computer for college. If I went Macbook, Id go Macbook Pro 15", which is still small to me, which would run me $2000 dollars alone for the computer.
  
  For a PC, Id look at Dells or HPs. I found a Dell with slightly better specs for $1399 alone. Thats $600 dollars I have to cover my printer and accessories.
